HOUSTON (Houston Business Journal) – American Liberty Hospitality has begun construction on the Embassy Suites hotel, the first privately developed, full-service hotel to be built downtown in 27 years.

Construction on the Hilton family brand hotel at 1515 Dallas is expected to be completed in spring 2011. It will include 262 two-room suites, 6,000 sf of meeting space, a spa and fitness center, a restaurant and a street-level café and wine bar.
